As a kid getting off the bus from school I could just tell when mom had baked some cookies for my brother and I. It made me run up our driveway (and we had a long driveway!) It was so much fun to see what she had made for us that day. Frosted cutout cookies, chocolate chip, peanut butter, or oatmeal.....it didn't matter, there were never any disappointments. This was also one of the many ways my mother showed her love for us.

So fast forward many years later (well, not soooo many!). The official debut of Barb's Baked Goodies was this past Saturday March 7th at the 4th annual Chicago Chiditarod. Twelve lucky teams received a complimentary bag of my famous Oatmeal Cookies! And oh, the smiles that were created from that simple gesture! Just like I remember from my childhood.

I was always the kid that brought a homemade treat to school when it was my birthday. As an adult I still do the same thing. Homemade baked treats are one of the simple pleasures of life and are capable of creating and bringing back so many fond memories.......for generations. My intention is to bring my baked goodies into your home/office/party/picnic/reunion/wedding/or other special event, and allow you to create those special memories as well.
